SHIATSU MASSAGE ALDA GLOVER, LMT
Alda’s Shiatsu-Anma massage treatments follow an assessment of the client’s condition. Alda addresses pain by releasing muscular holding patterns caused by stress, old injuries, poor ergonomics, and repetitive motion. Posture is improved, flexibility and energy are increased.
What is Shiatsu?
More than relaxation, Shiatsu is a Japanese massage therapy effective in treating pain and stimulating the body’s natural healing ability. Like acupuncture, Shiatsu balances “Qi” flow, reduces tension, improves organ function, and helps regulate the autonomic nervous system.
Using anatomy, physiology, and acupuncture theory (but no needles) Shiatsu techniques include applying finger pressure to acupuncture points and along meridians, as well as kneading, tapping, joint mobilization, and gentle passive stretching.
Shiatsu is effective for:
- Neck and Shoulder Tension
- Chronic Pain
- General Stress Release
A professional massage therapist since 1999, Alda studied at the Shiatsu Massage School of California under direction of Master DoAnn T. Kaneko, and continues to study Tai Qi, Qi Gong and bodywork. Alda teaches Shiatsu-Anma at SMSC, and continues to study Tai Qi, Qi Gong, and bodywork.
